CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS

THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF MEIBOMIAN GLANDS IN A GRADUATE SCHOOL COHORT

Principal Investigator: Amy Nau

This study will apply novel metrics for the evaluation of meibomian gland dysfunction in a young adult population.

THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF MEIBOMIAN GLANDS IN PATIENTS WITH KERATOCONUS.

Principal Investigator: Amy Nau

This multi- center study will determine the incidence of dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction in persons who need to use medical contact lenses.

THE RISK OF DRY EYE IN PEDIATRIC COHORTS

Principal Investigator:  Amy Nau

This study will determine the risk of developing MGD in children 7-18 years of age

THE TREATMENT OF MGD AMONG YOUNG ADULTS ATTENDING GRADUATE SCHOOL

Principal Investigator:  Amy Nau

This study will determine whether a single treatment with LipiFlow will reduce dry eye symptoms and prevent progression of MGD.

COMPARISON OF FOUR COMMERCIAL TREATMENT PROCEDURES FOR MEIBOMIAN GLAND DYSFUNCTION.

Principal Investigator: Chris Kenrick

This study will compare the effectiveness of MGD thearapy provided by currently available devices used to treat meibomian gland obstruction.
