| Keratoconus is a corneal condition which may require the use of rigid contact lenses for visual correction. Our practice has been at the forefront in the field of keratoconus research and clinical care. We developed the currently preferred method for fitting contact lenses for Keratoconus. This research has led to the funding of a multi-million dollar study of fitting techniques for keratoconus by the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health. All keratoconus lenses are custom-fitted, not utilizing standard designs. Multiple visits including some of extended duration are required for optimal results.
